• Image of An Industrial Christmas Carol Vinyl

I don’t know how many Industrial Christmas albums there are now, but when I recorded this over 25 years ago, I don’t think there were any. The new family (just me, Katrina, and Ian) were living at the Invisible loft at 2024 S Wabash, and it just made sense for me to go into the studio that had recent housed Killing Joke rehearsals, Pigface pre-production, and the first SPASM performance to rattle around some chains, atmospheres samples and beats.

The crying heard on one of the tracks is Ian, less than a year old. We were recording and I just wandered into the studio with him in my arms.

Sadly, the message ‘age old hatred never takes a holiday’ is as true today as it was a quarter of a century ago. This is intended as a celebration, something joyful for those of us who don’t ‘go to church.’ Something for the church of us perhaps.

If I could add an epilogue track to this red vinyl release, it might be, "Be kind, be as kind as you can to everyone, then when you simply can’t manage any more - be nicer."
Watch out - I might put up some x-mas lights and have a couple of Eggnog Listening Sessions at the museum.
