Here we are with another experiment.....so far this week we have donated straight-up $ BUT, here's the thing - I donated $100 to a Chicago business and felt pretty good, then, I made some of these bags and gave them 230 along with some social media too - and they raised over $11,000 - that's the value of creativity and a DIY mindset!
So, after around $8 of costs per bag (and mailing etc) were going to use the remaining $0, $10. $20, $100 to do more of this!
we are trying to materially help a bunch of small businesses and happy for you to suggest some too that align with this kind of in your face branding - it will be a combination of straight-up donations or materials help where that is more beneficial. We are also open to suggestions - want some different bags printed up ? some pizza boxes? ok! (if you have some pizza boxes please send me some!)
Elysium Club in Austin is closed down and the revenue has disappeared - I saw the owner John on line offering help to people - I want to help. I want him, his attitude and his club to be around for another 25 years of crammed Pigface shows. We sent bags to Indy Cd & Vinyl in Indianapolis, Imagine Coffee, Donnies & Art Farm in Decatur, OKPOP have just sent us artwork for the back of some custom bags to help some businesses down there in Tulsa Ok, Small's in Hamtramck, Dark Matter Coffee here in Chicago, PSY bar Tokyo, Starlite Lounge Tulsa and many more. If you don't have anything except $8 to give - we gotcha ! if you are doing ok but nervous as fuck and want to do $18 - that's cool and appreciated. The $28 is for the slightly less nervous and the $108 is for anyone that has the means and ability to support something that makes a fucking difference - art, ideas and the DIY ethic. Of course, this cannot help everyone but its already spreading and, if you don't see an entity that you love and that needs help represented here - suggest them or, start something like this yourself! we got this!
